The Milky Way and the Lightning

So I was on the Art Loeb Trail, looking for some bioluminescence in the mountains. It was too cold and windy for them to fly, however, so my timing was off there. Eventually I gave up on my planned composition and turned my attention to the galactic core of our Milky Way and in one of the more exciting developments of the year for me, this thunderhead slid into place and started lighting up! I probably will not get this opportunity very often in my lifetime, so I am beyond pleased that the photo turned out.
