Lightning Layers

Description

I came to see sunset in one of the most densely layered mountain viewpoints I know. I try not to go there too often, because it’s a special place with an amazing view that should always feel special when you see it. On this particular night the sunset was pretty, but the distant lightning flashes were out of this world. They were a bit few and far between, so it took me a while and several misses before I finally captured one. One that I missed looked even bigger than this one! It was a special moment where I was able to view and enjoy the awesome power of nature and earth’s magnetic field from a world-class viewpoint, but with no exposure to the danger myself, many miles away.
